Data Foraging Practice
Size: 13 x 19 | Designed: 2020
Data foraging is the practice of pulling organic data from the world around you. Knowing I had a more significant project in mind, the Adirondack Poster Series, I decided to try my hand at this technique. Setting a timer for 5
minutes, I observed my living room while my girlfriend and our friends watched The Bachelorette. I observed three data points (laughter, interruption, and yelling at the T.V.) and assigned a value to each data point
(circles, rectangles, and letters). I then created a visual representation of the “data” foraged.
